Gregory S. Raven (Greg)
I am from North Texas, and I currently reside in Plantation Florida. I have been a Floridian since 1990
when I transferred here with my job at Motorola.
I am a retired electrical engineer. I worked for Motorola for almost 38 years. I have electrical engineering degrees from Texas A&M and University of Texas at Arlington.
First race: “Miller Lite 10K” in Bryan Texas, November 1982.
First marathon: “Cowtown Marathon” Fort Worth, Texas, February 1987.
With Fit, I have ran the Chicago, Big Sur, Rome Italy, Athens Greece, and Napa marathons.
I have completed the Pikes Peak Ascent, Marathon, and Doubler.
I was race director for two early editions of “Central Park 5K”. I am an RRCA Certified Marathon
Coach. I also enjoy cycling, photography, and being retired.
I have been fascinated with running since that first race I participated in over 42 years ago. My years of
training, racing, and studying running have taught me many practical things which I enjoy sharing with
others who wish to improve their own enjoyment of the sport.
Regards,
Gregory Raven
