Everyone please join us as we welcome Amy this Saturday!
Amy Kimberlain, RD, LD/N, CDE is a registered, licensed dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator at Baptist Health South Florida.
Ms. Kimberlain graduated Magna Cum Laude from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition and Spanish. She completed her dietetic internship at Baylor University Medical Center, where she provided medical nutrition therapy for patients with complex medical conditions in adult and pediatric medicine and surgery, cardiology, neurology, bone marrow and solid organ transplantation, and intensive care units.
Prior to joining Baptist Health South Florida, Amy worked as a community dietitian and focused on helping to prevent childhood obesity. She created innovative nutrition lessons and classes to help educate children and parents.
While at the Diabetes Research Institute, Ms. Kimberlain conducted individual counseling sessions, assisting patients with diabetes in developing a healthy meal plan which will helped them achieve optimal outcomes in their diabetes management. She participated in the various classes offered by the education department and developed bilingual education material for the patients.
In her current role with Baptist Health South Florida, Ms. Kimberlain provides group education throughout South Florida.
Amy is also a Registered Yoga Teacher – RYT 200®.
