By that time Marina was doing only 5km races, she though doing a half or full marathon was insane. She said, “I could never do any of those long distance races.” In 2014 Marina ran her first Half Marathon, Miami Beach, in 2:02:54. In 2017 she ran her first Marathon, Chicago Marathon, in 3:56:34.
“Running has helped me in many ways. It help me with my health., to challenge myself to do my best in
with my health., to challenge myself to do my best in each race, and to control myself. MosMost importantly it help me feel confident with myself, and got to know new people that are like family and I got to go to different places.”
Marina has been a member for two seasons. In her second seasons she was part of the assistance coach team for Friends in Training, Weston. “I love it because I get to help people that just started running base on what I learn and my experience.” “Since I’ve been on this team I have seen a lot of progress in my Running, and was able to complete my first Marathon.”
