My name is Dr. Michael Ramnath and I have been a proud member of Friends In Training (FIT) since 2009. I joined FIT after running my first half-Marathon in Miami. Marcela was very instrumental in wellness at Motorola and that motivated myself and many others to join the FIT training programs through FIT.
I have completed 10 full Marathons, more than 20 half-Marathons, and countless 5ks with a 5k PR of 26:15. My goal is to complete the Abbot Series of six World Marathons. I have completed 2 of the 6 so far. I am a finisher in the New York City Marathon, Chicago Marathon, Marine Corps Marathon, New Orleans Marathon, Anchorage Alaska Marathon, Toronto Marathon, and my favorite, the Miami Marathon. I have completed 1000 miles for 2020 and now am a proud member of the 1000 Mile club.
This will be my 4th year coaching with FIT and I truly look forward to running with my FIT family, especially on long runs when we need that extra gram of motivation to cross the finish line. I am a believer if you set your goals and expectations at the beginning of running season then you have a very high probability of achieving your goals. My goal is to run longer and faster with minimum injuries. What are yours?
On a personal note, I am married, with 3 amazing adult kids, and three adorable grandchildren. Finally, my fun day-job is being a Broker-Associate with Coldwell Banker Realty in Plantation.
