My favorite running experience to date was the 2016 New York City Marathon. Although I struggled mightily the final six miles, I loved running thru the neighborhoods (some familiar, others not so much), and having friends and family come out to cheer me on. My racing goals for the season are pretty simple: break 22 minutes in a 5k, break 1:45 in a half, and break 4 hours in a full. My favorite race is always the next one. The memories are great, but I’m still pushing for the future.
Motivation advice: I recently read a great quote by Emil Zatopek. “If you want to run, run a mile. If you want to experience a different life, run a marathon.” I agree. Immerse yourself in whatever you do.
Hobbies/skills: I’ve held a single digit handicap as a golfer since I’m 15 years old although work and running have put golf on the back burner for now. I’m a self professed encyclopedia of all things Seinfeld, I love to travel, and I’m world famous in Las Olas.
